现在的求职简历有人被为拉长的趋势：有的求职者为其装上封面、目录、证书复印件等等，厚厚一叠，给人的感觉似乎是“包装”过了头。由于现在工作生活节奏不断加快，企业人事部门极少会有耐心逐字逐句地去仔细阅读每一封求职信，故而要在最短的时间里把自己“推销”出去，求职履历写一、二页足够了，太长了反而显得累赘。
精心研究职位要求。每投寄一封求职履历肯定是针对某一职位而言的，故而所有的细节和内容应当围绕这一职位进行叙述，要有详有略，决不能，浮光掠影、平铺直叙毫无生气。“万金油”式的求职履历肯定难以在求职过程中奏效。
